David B. Cohen, M.D. Is the founding medical director of the Zion Eye Institute. After graduating with honors from Brigham Young University and  the University of Utah's School of Medicine, Dr. Cohen served an internship in internal medicine at LDS hospital, and then a residency in ophthalmology at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute.  Thereafter, Dr. Cohen founded and headed the first ophthalmology department at Nellis Air Force Based in Las Vegas, Nevada. While an active-duty major, Dr. Cohen completed fellowship training in refractive surgery, and scored in the 98th percentile on the American Board of Ophthalmology written examination.  After his military service, Dr. Cohen founded the Zion Eye Institute in 1997, and also the ClearVision Laser Center in Las Vegas in 2001.  Dr. Cohen specializes in cataract and refractive surgery, and literally tens of thousands of patients now see clearly and after having surgery by his hands.
